The story revolves around a 18 year old adult named Takeshi Hasegawa. A young man who travels around the world, craving for challenging opponents and getting stronger. Wielding a powerful but simple Sacred Gear, Takeshi is a pure human but is stronger than the average one, being able to fight supernatural beings, biblical creatures and sacred gear users alike. Takeshi lived a simple life but that would soon change upon meeting and unfortunately getting dragged into the mess that is Issei's life and the DxD group as the Fallen Angels seek to steal his sacred gear. Having no choice, he cooperates with the group to put a stop to it, not knowing that this will only make things more complicating for him later on.
