What if, as one of many possible scenarios, the X Event failed? XGaster's greatest creation that was crafted together with Ink as a partner failed sometime after the bearer of the purple soul recreated the multiverse.
The circumstances are unknown, but an anomaly happened, XGaster died and his creations, instead of vanishing with their creator, were scattered through the whole multiverse.
Their chances to find each other in the vastness of the multiverse are miniscule. Being cursed with loneliness they are blessed with something else - The powers they received in the third phase of the X Event remain within their souls and additionally they possess the ability to freely hop from one universe to another.
Scattered X-iles explores the Xtale cast from I (XAsriel) to X (Cross) one chapter per character and shines some light on their interactions within the multiverse.
So, what are these incredibly strong beings up to? Will they find new purposes or remain trapped in their horrific past?

The Stage is Set
So, I'm uploading this from my Ao3 account to my Wattpad account! So yeah! This is MY version of the Sans Au Multiverse. The X-event never happened, and Ink and Cross became close (like brothers, along with Reaper due to Ink being soulless, and the weird nature of Cross's). There are three 'new' Au's in this, those are my Au's, but they have never told their full backstory to anyone else. Not even to each other. But this isn't about them, yet, so lemme finish explaining this. So, Ink actually does care about the people in the Au's knowing that the creators can remake the Au, but not the people. Or his friends, so he protects them from the creators and the rewrites (or as he calls them resets). He fights for them and not the creators, while he and Error did have a truce, Ink couldn't save Error from the creators until recently. Most people knew that Ink didn't have a soul since he didn't hide it, but Error, Nightmare, and Killer (yes I ship the four of them) held out until he did (Ink has a soul now) to tell him how he feels, and Ink accepted and returned the feelings. And as this AU of the Multiverse I, as a/the creator, also play a role in this as well. Everything has worked out, meaning there isn't any fighting. They're all friends now. For some reason, Ink, the Creator and Protector of the Sans AUs, has decided that some of the Sanses of the Multiverse should go to highschool again. Honestly, no one really liked the idea, especially the Bad Sanses, including Ink's enemy, Error. Prince Nightmare is one of the AUs that must repeat these years of treachery. He basically only finished his actual highschool, and is NOT looking forward to having to do it again. Luckily his brother, Prince Dream, will be coming along the journey beside him. But Nightmare and Dream Are polar opposites, so Nightmare can't really get along with his brother's friends, nor Dream get along with Nightmare's, if he had any. With rules to follow and secrets to keep, Nightmare must go through highschool and not let slip the terrible things that happen at home. But then suddenly the two princes disappear. There's no trace as to who might've taken them, either. The only one that doesn't seem concerned is their own father, the king. King Sun-Beam. What is he hiding underneath all of those jewels and fake smiles? A/N: There is lemon/smut. So all you innocent people out there-- don't worry!
