[An OC insert Phanfic]


Before the end of a meeting, my local town decided they wanted to put on a performance of the musical 'The Phantom Of The Opera'. 

Our Mayor, Mr. William Gilmore, goes by a certain motto: New season, new opportunities. He wanted to find a way to bring attract tourists. This time, he wanted us to put on a musical.

My friends, Lizzy and Leo, agreed to take part. Leo is part of the lighting and soundcheck crew, and Lizzy works on costume design. I'm also taking part in the musical myself somewhat. It's my favourite musical, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be a part of it just like that.

No, I'm not playing the part of Christine, nor am I an understudy. I'm just the girl who works backstage tuning and cleaning instruments for the orchestra. I'm also part of the cleaning crew with Lizzy and Leo after rehearsals are over with. 

However, when the three of us were in the middle of cleaning up after a rehearsal one day, Lizzy found a music box that looked exactly like the one in The Phantom Of The Opera film with a monkey sitting on top of a cushion. 

The next thing I knew, I was laying face down on the ground with a shadow of a figure towering over me. 

"Who are you, and how did you find my lair?"

This is my first story writing on my phone so you'll have to excuse my spelling errors. This is a Phantom of the Opera x oc. There was young girl who was studying to ballet who went to a traveling fair. Her group was guided to a tent that had "The Devil's Child" in a cage. The worker took the bag off the poor boy's face to show the his face was deformed. The boy being around the young girl's age. The worker began to beat the boy as everyone laughed and had fun. Everyone but the young girl. Once the show was over, everyone started to leave, including the young girl. But she stopped to look back at the boy only to see him strangling the worker from behind with a rope. She hurried over and help the boy out of the cage as an angry mob started, calling the boy "murderer". The young girl hurried out with the mob following. She went over to the Opera House and opened a secret entrance for the boy to enter before running to the doors and went in. She made her way below the Opera House and found the boy where she left him and grabbed his hand, dragging him further and hiding him from the cruel world. This young girl was me. Roxanne Daae. Older sister to Christine Daae. And this is the story of how I fell in love with the Phantom of the Opera.

I use real people from his life, real songs, real albums, but I do not know him personally and therefore this is 100% fictional. As of now, I don't plan on including any outlandish plot points, so it may seem boring in that regard. There is a lot of talking, a lot of staring into eyes, and some smut. I'm writing this for myself, because as Harry has said, "If you're happy doing what you're doing, no one can tell you you're not successful." So whoever finds this and wants to give it a spin, I appreciate you and I accept any and all feedback. But it's ultimately serving as a creative outlet for me.
