Business is booming for the Glass Brothers Paranormal Investigation, Inc. Despite the three brothers' bickering, exposing fraudulent psychic mediums is proving profitable business, even if it's ruffling feathers of the elite members of society. But the dabblings of the spirit world turn deadly when a failed magician discovers a chest containing a powerful, malevolent spirit.
Calling itself Lenore, the spirit promises the magician fame and fortune, in exchange for a human vessel to open a door into the spirit world. The magician eventually locates the perfect candidate: a well-known and beautiful medium named Winifred Huxley. The Glass brothers' investigation of missing women in the Baltimore area eventually leads them to the magician's stage, where they must battle to keep the spirit door closed and Winifred among the living.
