Nivis, the sister of the high lord of the winter court, Kallias, was one of the best spies at the winter court. After Amarantha's reign and the deaths of two dozen winter court children, she ought to ensure that no harm comes in Prythian's way.
During the war with Hybern, she became even more focused on protecting her court. Deaths were inevitable in a war, but she made sure that the death count stayed as low as possible. Even if it meant sacrificing herself.

With another war coming, Nivis has to work with her mate, the Spymaster and shadowsinger, Azriel, to gather as much intel as possible.

But as they spend more time together, their feelings towards each other grow.
