I was relieved when we left my hometown. I didn't expect for my dad to ever drop a bomb on me two weeks before the start of my senior year. We were moving back to my hometown. I was ready to face my monsters. I was ready to be miserable for this year. I was ready for the terror that never seemed to disappear from my veins. I wasn't ready for the hurricane that came in the form of Niko Pierce. He was stupid hot. He had a jawline that was sharp enough to cut steel and eyes the color of lighting. One look had me squeezing my legs together in pure animalistic attraction. I thought he wanted my body but no, he wanted something so much worse. He wants my heart. Something that has long since been turned to stone and layered with concrete.

Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same.
