It was a tough year for Dylan; battling a kanima and working out whether to save her long-time bully or end him, getting turned into a werewolf that triggered a rare inner werewolf side of her, losing the only friends she ever had. But there were some good times.

Dylan made new friends, ones her own age. She even had time for love in her life, upon other things. She made up with her adopted family, learned to love them and even decided to change her name from Cohen to Hawke.

But as the battle came to an end, Dylan and her friends, Erica Reyes and Vernon Boyd made the stupid decision to leave and find a new pack. While enduring their escape, they were caught by the Argents and were held captive in their basement for a few hours before making their escape once more, looking for a new pack. And they found it. Only, it wasn't quite what they were looking for.

Nearly four months had passed and they were officially classified as missing. Benjamin was wracked with guilt. The new year came around and school was starting. Isaac, Ben and Derek did not rest until they found them. But upon finding them, they discover new secrets, too.
