RUNe

Cerridwen writes poetry because poems don't ask questions. People do. For years, she has survived by keeping her secrets hidden. At school, she's quiet and forgettable. At home, she's trapped in a reality she never speaks about. The only escape she has is the poetry she pours onto paper under the name Hermit. Only one person knows the truth. Tristan has always been there to help her endure. To stay silent. To survive. Then Ash arrives. Where Tristan encourages silence, Ash asks questions. Where Tristan teaches her to endure, Ash wants her to fight back. As the fragile world Cerri has built begins to crack, she finds herself torn between the comfort of what she's always known and the terrifying possibility of something different. With her poetry as both refuge and confession, Cerri must confront the question she's spent her whole life avoiding: What does healthy love look like when every example she's ever had was distorted? Will she continue hiding her RuNeS? Or will she finally RUN? My name is Cerridwen. And this is my poetry.
