The human race has protectors. Hybrids. Sons and daughters of magical creatures; gods, fairies, warlocks, demon hunters, etc. These hybrids learn to fight in a special school located in a secret continent not known to humans, to protect humanity from its own incompetence.

Emma Darhk is a half-fairy half god hybrid, daughter of Zeus, though her father was always estranged from her. She grew up in Manchester with her mom, half-brother Jason, and her best friend William Gray. Son of Aphrodite and a demon hunter.

A few months before her 12th birthday and turning eligible to attend Tikithi, her mother was murdered and her best friend is now a jerk, turning her whole life upside down. Soon becoming rivals and making sure only their siblings knew their past with each other.

Years later, when they are 19 years old. They are chosen by Zeus to go on a quest to retrieve his sword that was stolen. Will and Emma reluctantly agree, but soon discover that there is more to the quest than Zeus is letting on.

Is this quest going to help Emma find out who murdered her mother in cold blood? Will chilling secrets be revealed? Will sparks fly between the former friends?

13 parts Ongoing Mature

Ruby staggered back, her breath ragged, wiping blood from the corner of her mouth. Liam stood opposite her, his jaw tight, the rain soaking them both. His fists were still clenched, but he wasn't advancing. Not anymore. "Why don't you just finish it?" she spat, her voice sharp but trembling. Liam's eyes burned into hers. "Because you don't want me to." Her laugh was bitter, broken. "Don't flatter yourself." "Then stop looking at me like that," he growled, stepping closer. "Like what?" "Like you'd rather kill me or kiss me." The air between them buzzed, heavy and charged. Ruby's heart pounded as he closed the space between them, his hand brushing hers. "You don't know me," she whispered, though her voice lacked conviction. "I know enough," Liam said, his voice rough, his gaze locked on hers. For a moment, neither moved, their breath mingling in the cold air. Then, without warning, Ruby grabbed the front of his shirt and yanked him forward. Their lips met in a collision of anger and need, the kiss desperate, violent, and all-consuming. When they finally broke apart, gasping for air, Liam's hand cupped her jaw, his thumb brushing her cheek. "Still hate me?" he murmured. Ruby's lips curved into a dangerous smile. "Shut up, Liam." And she pulled him in again.
