Not everyone in Hawkins looks the other way. 

Peta Allen is doing everything she can to distract herself from her own hatred for her father. After the Starcourt Mall went up in flames so did her fathers investments and her college fund. Peta is forced to work out her own future and it ends her up at Family Video. Not that she minds, Steve Harrington is an attractive distraction from her misfortune. 

The motley crew of Hawkins High students, past and present are hiding secrets and Peta is realising that maybe it isn't the town that is cursed but it's children. When stranger things begin to happen, she can't help but grow curious.
