Snow White, Cinderella, even Belle all had their 'happy ever after' that all girls crave. In a high school where all girls have learned that 'happy ever afters' only happen in the dullest of love stories, Amber is left questioning why hers has not yet come along. As she kisses princes by princes, the population of frogs rise leaving the possibility of ever finding love limited and the chances of having to accept the idea of fictional love being the only kind higher and higher. But fiction and fantasy cross swords as the supernatural become a part of Ambers life. Love and desire must stand alone and patiently wait for the crossroads in Ambers life to come to an end as stories of the fare and blood sucking overwhelm her.
