When the Penny Drops | ONC2023

In my head, this is Supernatural meets Death in Paradise.

You have 7 days to solve a murder...before your luck runs out.

Aaron Mathews is cursed...or at least that's what it feels like.
Bad luck follows him wherever he goes.
He spills every coffee he orders. He trips on every second stair. He's spent more time in the hospital than his own home.
After five years of trying and failing to achieve his dream of becoming a detective-inspector, he decides to resign himself to being forever desk-bound, the local police precinct's pitiful charity case, an officer in name only.
But then a mysterious man claiming to be his dead childhood best friend barges into his life and offers Aaron a chance to achieve his dreams and be rid of his bad luck forever. All Aaron has to do in return, is prove the man's innocence to the Concilium Regens, (a council of demonic sorcerers in the murder case of one of their most powerful members).
Oh...and he only has 7 days to solve the case or be stuck with his bad luck forever. No pressure.
