A memory suddenly hit me out of nowhere. Distant soft words she spoke to me by the lake side. 'I'd rather die than be captured by them again.' In an instant, the walls collapsed. Anger at myself almost consumed me, as it hit me that I didn't protect her. That I let her get taken away from me into the hands of those who tortured her. She would be left to suffer. They forced their will onto her with a few simple words, and now she would be at their beck and call once more.
Following the events of Infatuated with a God. Kaya had been taken by Hydra, by Alex nonetheless, and now Loki was left behind to deal the the consequences of the deceit. How will Loki get Kaya back? Will he be able to make her remember him? And how will he cope with losing the mortal he loves?
