it's the year 1964 Bella/ narrator has been living with her grandparents for her a great majority of her life after her mother was locked in a mental hospital and her farther became an alcoholic not knowing within the cracked walls of her furthers house and the horror that her mother lived in.

"Y-you can't run away you have our baby," he says screaming "Bella Open the door" He yells and hits the window. "Please come back baby I'm sorry!" He looks at me and through the window, I can tell he isn't sorry. "I'm sorry" he repeats and I feel tears coming. "You...hit me" I sob. But now, she had a new chance at life, and she was determined to make the most of it. She was surprised when the Cullen family offered to take her in, and Luna had always been fascinated by them, ever since her mother had introduced her to the family a few years ago. But now, she was going to be living with them, but she wasn't sure how she felt about that. Luna had never been able to fully come to terms with her mother's death, and it had only added to her depression. But then she met a special someone. He was a boy from the nearby reservation, and he was kind and funny. He also had a secret. She was shocked when she found out, but she couldn't deny the feelings she had for him.
