Peacetime lead to comfort and complacency. No one noticed when isolated forests went silent or tiny farmsteads turned up abandoned. When there were finally reports of strange afflictions destroying livestock, it was too late. -Preview- Lefara... Listen. Not quite awake, Fae unraveled a part of her mind to connect and merge with her dragon. Taberia responded in kind, strengthening the bond until, for a moment, they were one. What is troubling you? Lefara asked as she blinked open heavy eyes. Tabby flooded her mind with images. Soaring over a marble cliff and dead white trees. A dark lake teeming with life. Darker creatures gasping for air at its shores. A black fish dissolved as it hit another fighting to crawl to land. Then everything was burning high and hot and easy.

Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.
