Sophia Ahmad has it all. Beautiful looks, adoring friends, a caring family, and an endless supply of money. What else could one teenage girl possibly want? Though, there is one problem that prevents Sophie from having a care-free and perfect life. That problem is: her religion.
          Sophia Ahmad is no ordinary girl. In fact, she is a Muslim. A Muslim that was born in Pakistan. Her family moved to America when she was just a baby and stayed there ever since. Sophie hadn't told anyone that she was a Muslim or a Pakistani. All her classmates at Everstone High thinks she is an average American who likes to read. But there is more to Sophie then they think there is.	
          Then one day, out of the blue, two people from Sophie's past enter her life once again. Sophie's once smooth life is now shredded to pieces. Her friends that once adored her now hate her. Her family is taken away from her and is sent somewhere far away. All the money she used to have is snatched from her fingertips.

They end up getting their own apartment and along the way they find and learn so much about what life and love both mean and the good and the bad in everything around them. Trouble seems to follow them a lot but somehow they feel somewhat safe with their mysterious block neighbors Michael and Ethan. Is this the beginning of a spark for them?
