On May 6, 1856, Thomas Whaley began construction on his new home and proclaimed "My new house, when completed, will be the handsomest, most comfortable and convenient place in town or within 150 miles of here." The two-story Greek Revival house was designed by Thomas Whaley and made from bricks created in Whaley's very own brickyard on Conde Street. Furnished with mahogany and rosewood furniture, Brussels carpets, and costing more than $10,000 upon completion, the Whaley House was overwhelmingly praised as the first of its kind and finest home in Southern California.Over the years, many descendants of the Whaley family lived and died in the house, including Anna and a few of the children, Thomas Jr., Violet and Francis. Although the Whaley family's unfortunate past plays a key role in the home's chilling history, many believed it was destined to be haunted before construction even began. The eerie legacy of the Whaley House continued to grow as the family was struck with tragic deaths, as well as paranormal and spiritual encounters that many still discover today.
A girl named Beatrice and her friend , Savannah lived on the same street as this house. An old man named Jesse Sherman ocuppies the Whaley house now. Jesse is not a very nice man. He kidnapps both girls and keeps them in the basement of the Whaley House. The girls start to expericene the enities of the house and are being called to help out the enities. The girls not only learn the mystires of the house but get to help the trapped spirits.

I woke up in a strange room. It seemed to be designed for a proper girl, someone completely different to me. The walls were pastel blue, the bed sheets were baby blue with grey cushions and throws and the carpet was a light shade of grey. The room was decorated with little touches that made it like a little girls room such as fairy lights and small figurines. I didn't know where I was but at least I was well catered for. When I turned around I realised there was a window behind me and behind the window was another girl. I knocked hard on the window and watched her turn around. "Hi can you help me? Why I am here?" "Okay, where do you want me to start?" "Anywhere you wish." "There were five of us. Dani, Elizabeth, Audrey, Taylor and me. We spent about 9 months in the basement. The walls where cement. The floor was cement. We each had our own chairs. Dani had her baby blue chair with white roses in the upper right corner. Elizabeth had her pale pink chair with white daiseys in the lower right corner. Audrey had her yellow chair with white roses in the upper left corner. Taylor had her black chair with red roses in the lower left corner. I had a white chair with sunflowers that sat in the center, the very center of the room. Each of us had a light above our heads. There were no covers in the lights just the wires losely hanging with the light attached at the end. The front legs of all our chairs had buckles that when we sat down they were right where our ankles were like he knew just were to put them. There were buckles on our arm rests that when we laid are arms on them the buckels our wrist were in the perfect spot. I think its funny how we all never made the conecction." "What conecction would that be?" "That we all have brown hair, blue eyes, were 5'5, all weighed 130. That when you put the first letter of each of our names together it spells Death.
