Kiera was on her way to collage, perfect grades, perfect attendance, she'd already gotten acceptance letters but one wrong crowd at a party would change her life forever. She went in a downward spiral, stopped taking her meds, started doing things she shouldn't and her life had never been the same after that. She left to New Orleans and during the years that she lived in a old dingy basement, she was heavy into her addiction. The boy that she moved to new Orleans with was her boyfriend but, when they got settled in he started dealing and the more money he made the shorter his temper got toward Kiera. He started getting physical with Kiera but she stayed, because she had no one to show her that she shouldn't and no one that would help her out. One day, Kiera walked in on one of her boyfriends deals that would flip her life once more.
