They always hated eachother...until they didn't • • • Red crayons and hair pullings in kindergarten became stolen science projects and harsh slaps in middle school . The punishments morphing into suspensions and detentions. Silly pranks during summer camp and snide remarks in the hallways. And then as time grow longer as did they, her body changed, as did his. Where she became soft he became hard, a rougher voice and a tougher body. However the feud never ended, not when they were studying, not when they weren't, fights for valedictorian and prom royalty. As time stretched so far the reason for our hate became hazy but the hot feeling in their chests never stopped. It only evolved at every interaction, every slap, every barge. Until it stopped. Until they moved and grew even taller and further away from each other, the burning withering but leaving a scorched hole. Until..until...until. Until now.

Shawn looked up at me. He did a double-take, and soon enough his cheeks were reddening and a smirk spread across his face. "What?" I asked him, worrying that I put my shirt on inside out or something else to embarrass myself. He shook his head. "Please don't hate me..." he laughed, his face reddening even more. I looked at him, confusion clear on my face. "I think maybe you should go look in the mirror," he said as he continued to chuckle. Curious as to what he was talking about, I quickly ran over to the full-body mirror that stood in the corner of my room. My jaw dropped upon seeing the red and purple marks that peppered my neck and chest. I turned around and glared at him as he laughed and shyly covered his face with the duvet. "Please don't hate me!" He jokingly shouted from behind the duvet. ------- Now Playing: "There's No Way" by Lauv & Julia Michaels
