"Rella, promise me that you'll take care of your brothers, no matter what." My mother said sternly. with the salty tears running down my face I nod and a sob escapes my lips. "Rella... baby girl I'm so sorry I have to leave you like this..." she says wiping the tears from my eyes. "I love you so much and I want you to love your brothers the same... I trust you to care for them... you are their guardians... I love you." Her breathing slowing while she speaks. She trusts me. I am their guardians. I am their guardians. I will give them a good life. Even if I'm just eight I will grow up for them. Why does she have to leave? Why can't she stay and help me?! "Mommy I promise." She gives me a weak smile and she takes my hands and squeezes it. She lets go and she closes her eyes. she opens her eyes just slightly and looks at me "I love you" she says and closes her eyes and then she takes a deep breath and that's it she's gone. I walk over to the triplets. " Andy, Augustus, Joey.. I promise"
