Val-Rosea, known to most in the galaxy as simply Rosea, is one of the most powerful Force-wielders in the galaxy - and she's not a Jedi, even though she often fights alongside them. She was too old for Jedi training when she was found by Master/padawan pair Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, but that didn't stop Master Qui-Gon from helping her to hone her abilities as he taught his own young padawan. Ever since that day, when Qui-Gon Jinn allowed Rosea to join him and his padawan when they left the forests of Hydros (her home), Rosea hardly left the Master Jedi's side... until her long-time mentor and friend is killed and the master's padawan rises to meet the expectations now placed on him, as a Jedi Master and as a teacher himself.
