Percy and Annabeth have survived the war against Gaia, but at what cost? Plagued by nightmares and physical impairments, it seems the only thing they have left is each other. Will that be enough?


I wrote this because I was mad that Rick Riordan never really addressed the Tartarus trauma, and that we never got to really see them moving forward through that together. This book will be angsty (but have a happy ending don't worry) and will maybe follow some of the events of Trials of Apollo but probably not all of them

The Great War is over, and peace settles in both camps. Nothing much is left of both camps, and only few survived the War. The original title was "Percabeth Neighbors" but I changed it :D Annabeth Chase has always been abused. Her father more or less ignores it, or pretends his wife is just a perfect angel. Anyone who needs a continuation to a phenomenal series of books will find a little comfort in this tale. Also, this was started after the first Trials of Apollo book was out, but the second was not. So pretty much I ignored what went on in that series except for a few things that were for certain from the Hidden Oracle. Characters and such belong to the awesome Rick Riordan. I only own the events and story line.

COMPLETED WE PROTECT After the war with Tartarus, things start winding down. Camp Jupiter heads for California, Magnus and his friends go back to Boston, and Carter, Sadie, Walt, and Zia head back to Brooklyn. But the Avengers stay. Because Percy needs them now more then ever. After getting run through with Tartarus's Under-worldly sword, Percy needs all the help he can get. It's been a year since Nico and Will's trip to Tartarus and people seem to be moving on with their lives. Annabeth and Percy are both studying at New Rome University, Hazel and Frank are becoming more comfortable in their roles as Praetors, Grover is leading Satyrs in re-planting some nature spaces, and Reyna and Thalia have been with the hunters for a while and haven't been seen by either camp in six months. Piper and Leo haven't made contact but from what Apollo told them it seems they are setting in their new lives. Everyone has moved past their demigod lives more or less. Everyone except, it seems, Nico and Will. After their expedition to Tartarus, Will began to get nightmares. He and Nico now share the roles of comforter and comforted and they help each other discover and control their new found gifts. All seemed well for them until Nico got a job in a city that made him leave Will for long periods of time. Although Nico comforts Will and they Iris message frequently, Will is afraid to be alone and is scared that Nico is going to move on before Will is ready to. Now, Annabeth and Percy decided to go to the concert of a new singer and when they realize who it is, everything becomes more complicated.
