In a post-apocalyptic world when food is in short supply and there is severe competition for resources, Lykke is a young adult struggling to survive. But can he succeed against all difficulties in such a harsh world where strength and cunning determine success?

His only chance of surviving is to gain passage to the mysterious Tower, which is only open to the most powerful and intelligent males and in a community completely run by women. Lykke must compete against the tower's most formidable foes, jeopardizing the same future he is trying to protect, in order to earn this invitation. Will Lykke be capable of beating his rivals to get entry inside the Tower, or will the competition be too great for him?
