[mild language/references to sexual themes] Newly out-of-college Catalina Frost winds up in the hospital after a severe car crash. She doesn't remember any of it, and she's warned against looking anything up. There's no permanent damage to her body, but there's something different about her brain. You see, in Cat's world, PTSD, nightmares, and other trauma can be smoothed over by simply... implanting someone else's dream world, part of their subconscious, in place of your own. You're not supposed to lucid dream on Dreamscape- it compromises the treatment's stability- but Cat's curiosity gets the better of her, leading her to someone else living in that dream world, someone who doesn't want to be found.
