Whenever she saw photos of herself, she felt a sense of shame and self-loathing. She saw it in her eyes and on her face. It was her heritage that weighed heavily on her like a burning secret. She feared each time anew that she was destined to become like him, trapped in a cycle of destruction and tragedy. She felt like an outsider, separated from her peers and unable to escape the shadow of her family's past. There was a deep sense of helplessness and despair within her, a conviction that she could never change her fate.
She didn't want to end up like this.
She would never be forgiven.
