Sonic the Hedgehog, historically known as a hero, has been missing a whole century! He's considered a hero around Mobius because it is said he bravely took down the infamous Dr. Eggman in the past. However, without Sonic, Eggman could carry out a complete takeover of the planet. With his tech, he found a way to make himself immortal, so he could rule over the world forever, as he trusted nobody else could take his place.

Everyone on the planet has submitted to Eggman's rule, and everyone believes Sonic to be a myth. However, a two-tailed fox named Miles Prower, also called Tails, is the only one who thinks he is real. He tries to convince his friends, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Shadow, and Rainbow, to believe it as well, but to no success. Only when he finds a battered plush, estimated 50 years old, in the forest, and he manages to convince them to set out to hopefully find Sonic, stop Dr. Eggman's tyranny, and restore peace to the world.

Please know that this is my own AU and everything in here is not related to the games. Sonic was around 100 years ago, so that means there's no way his canon friends would be around at the same time he did. He had completely different friends back then alright?!

Little fun fact about this, i came up with this just for an AI text generator to ruin it, but then realized it was a pretty good idea and asked my friend if i should keep it, and they agreed. So here we are now! 

Character bios will be featured after every 3 chapters.

"Project: Genesis," designated as Unit-02 due to him being the second coming of the "Ultimate Life Form," was an attempt at making a truly loyal weapon that would win any conflict with just the flick of the wrist. Using the DNA of Shadow the Hedgehog and harnessing the Chaos Energy within his blood, they created a clone, a superior entity wielding abilities to rival that of a god. He was beautiful- perfect even, and yet there was a flaw in his design. For all his power, his purpose for his existence remained firmly out of his grasp, and his "creators" didn't bother helping. Even with the lingering words of Ambertwo... "You're alive, and life is wonderful." Her final words echoed like a never ending mantra in his mind filled with so many different thoughts and questions. When Unit-02 woke up in the real world after being fully developed, the ones who created him never expected for their creation to rebel against them so... quickly. Fire and ruin was brought down upon them as a psychic force greater than any other destroyed the facility as quickly at the Ultimate Life Form's awakening. In the aftermath of the carnage, within the flaming wreckage of divine wrath, a man approached 02 with an offer- to master his power and conquer the world. In the past, Tails the fox fought alongside his friends for the welfare of his people and defective gems like himself, which resulted in him becoming Apotheosis, the defender of Central City, protector of the outcasts, and hero of Mobius. Now, after years of heroic work that has left him emotionally scarred, he must deal with the former members of the Mobian Empire who have awakened on planet Earth and are seeking to capture Sonic the Hedgehog in order to use his power to awaken the Cluster and return the Mobian Empire to its former self. This is not just another mission for Miles Prower, as the decisions he must make in order to carry it out force him to question the goodness of the role he has taken on. In this fanfiction, the Mobians are like the gems in Steven Universe, although those are not the only franchises that inspired me, as I took elements from multiple stories that readers may recognize. I should warn you that it's somewhat cliché and similar to old anime, so if you don't like that kind of story, you might still enjoy reading it if you like imagining battles.
