Maddie is your average skater girl. She skates everywhere: from school to home, or her friends house to the mall. Its all she ever did. But school, there's a problem. What may that be? Well shes not popular. Being a skater has nothing to do with popularity.

You see its a problem because she wants to be popular. She has a major crush on the schools bad boy, Justin.

So how will she become popular. Well what if I told you magic exists? One day Maddie came upon a magic rock that aloud her to make 3 wishes. So what may those wishes be? Also, btw, Maddie denies anyone who says she's pretty. Its hard to believe according to herself.

Follow Maddie on her adventure of wants. But remember, wishing what you want doesn't always work out...

Once upon a time, smartphones were not essential, and wifi did not exist. Can you imagine what you could do with your time without endless video scrolling? You, yes you, the one with this book in your hand. You look perfect for the task. A task that Regina George wannabes Lauren and Sophie couldn't do. Ashley needs friends. The ones who love her for being herself, and you seem perfect for the job. But not now. We are taking an adventure and heading back to 2004. Relive the days when teenagers stayed out until the streetlamps turned on. When music was great, fashion changed daily, and life was simple. I said simple, not easy. Never been kissed, sixteen-year-old Ashley Prince wants to be popular like her friends. Well, she thought she did. So much so that she lost her identity in doing what she was told by Regina George wannabes and her overbearing parents. Constantly babysitting and never having fun, missing out on all those truths, dares, and spin-the-bottle games. But then Olly moves in next door. It isn't until her eyes set on him that her heart sets on fire, and sparks fly when they cross paths. He is like no one she has met before, not only handsome but kind. And with a new friend like that, her confidence soars. Meeting Olly not only saves her life but changes it forever. But is he so perfect? Kyle has something to say about that. Who's Kyle Well, there has to be a villain, doesn't there? Is it him? The badass, moody skater boy? Or is it the bullies, her parents, or somebody else? Grab your flares, skateboard, boombox, and alcopops and walk the streets till dusk, roam the school grounds, party and break a few rules along the way. Can Ashley break free and discover that there is more to popularity and find her true self? Let's find out how Ashley's summer turns out with the boy next door. When a total stranger knows what eats you, maybe they are your one true love. Even if you don't know it yet. || On Friday the 13th, two twenty-something, Daya and Mike, end up in a mutually beneficial arrangement: she is his caregiver after he breaks his foot; he provides room&board to help her out with a teeny-tiny cash flow problem. Not a whiff of a romance, strictly business. And for a while, all is good... for about five minutes, that is. What can an overweight man, a video game obsessed librarian, know about her quitting a challenging sport of figure skating, Daya scoffs. He needs to get off her case and sort out his binge eating! What does a celery-chewing skating diva care about his failure as a PhD candidate, Mike wonders. She is just replacing her dreams with his non-existing problems instead of pursuing her one true passion! With the two already teetering on the brink of mutually assured destruction, oil splashes onto the flames when Daya resumes her never-ending quest for skating triumph at Canadian Nationals. (Well, that should make Mike happy, right? Right?) But isn't there *something* worth fighting for *together*? Like, you know, love? COMPLETED. First Published: August 19, 2019 Trigger warning: This story contains themes of eating disorders and body image insecurity (male).
