Long Haul

She let him in from the moment they met. She never let anyone new in her life apart from those she grew up with. She felt a connection with him like she never felt with anyone else. He was the love of her life, and it took so long to realise. It was him, it was always him.

He was introduced to her by a friend, and from the moment he saw her, he knew that she was all he needed in his life. She was the love of his life, his person. He felt so much for her even when he was with other people, and it was hell for him.

They promised each other that they were in it for the long haul. But that promise, along with the feelings they had for each other and the lives they lived, created friction, tension, fights, pushing each other away. They don't know if they're going to survive.
