Xaia Redbane is a distrusting, head strong Hellborn with a path of redemption before her. She used to be human, before a mistake she made as a child got her entire family slaughtered. She was curious and was always taking off into the woods instead of doing her chores-which are a few of the reasons her father used to call her Little Bird. One of these adventures led her to some ruins guarded by a gargoyle. It followed her home and changed her life forever.
Xaia begged everyone-everything-she could think of to offer her a chance at redemption. She knew she could do nothing as a weak human child. With no family and no home, she was forced to survive on her own in the very same woods that led to the Redbane's undoing. Mephistopheles was the only creature to answer her. She willingly accepted his bargain.
What she didn't know at the time was that this wasn't Mephistopheles' first time dealing with the Redbanes. Their histories have been intertwined for many, many years. Xaia very well may have made another detrimental choice-except this time, the fate of all Runehaven might have to pay the price.
