Mythend: a world filled with magic, where humans are not the only predominant race. Dwarves, elves, goblins, merfolk, and the lesser-known species of the nemokine and weirken. A world where mages are gifted with a connection to the Six Divines and the Aether realm. A land with dark mysteries waiting to be discovered.
An ongoing collection of short stories from my original fantasy world, Mythend. Some will be slice-of-life, others not so much.

The Trials
You were warned from a young age about the fair folk from your father, and that you should never make a deal with one-- no matter how dire your circumstances. But through a series of tragedies, you desperately made a deal with the fairy king himself for a second chance. On the fourth anniversary of the deal, he had come to collect his debt from you. In another moment of desperation, you once more made a plea with him for your freedom. The condition was that if you win his trials, you were free to leave but if you failed, you must stay in the fairy realm and wed him. A magical girl bumps into an alluring guy on a night out during a festival, but he goes missing the next day. She is then sent on a dangerous mission to retrieve a magical artefact. But all is not as it seems, especially when things go wrong. Kora is just a regular fairy waitressing in the musical city of Lyria. Every year, the city holds its summer festival to celebrate the change from spring to summer. And every year, Kora spends the night partying with her best friend. When she meets a charming, enigmatic man at this year's festival, she can't resist making a seemingly-innocent deal with him. But then he disappears. While trying to find a way to see him again, Kora is given a business proposal by her best friend. Kora must sneak into the one place where evil is allowed to roam free, and retrieve a dangerous magical artefact. Pushed out of her depth, she has to be quick to learn the ropes of the role she's been given. But when the plan goes wrong, will Kora fight her way home, or will her heart succumb to the darkness? This story is loosely inspired by the myth of Hades and Persephone. Danger, magic and allure can be found within.

A vast and beautiful magical land. Made up of different cities and towns. Where many mythological creatures live and practice magic. A few of the races include the Amani, the (elves?), and the (dragon?) The story will follow one main character from each race, how they practice their magic and how they help their world when an evil rises up.Complete

Golden Sun : The Legacy
