Xie Lian has been cursed to continue his immortal existence as a statue. Unable to move or speak, he is left stranded deep inside a forest to stay guard for some obscure shrine only homeless people stumble across once every other century. Lonely and depressed, Xie Lian is plagued by the memories of the incident that landed him in this situation and wishes for only one thing: To die, so he can finally apologise to the person he loved and failed the most.
