Folk music is a contemporary type of music that comprises traditional melodies. It depicts the cultural values of Rajasthanis that generally have lyrics about seasons and story narration. 

WHY IS IT POPULAR AT AN INTERNATIONAL LEVEL?
Climatic conditions of Rajasthan vary according to the seasons. Summers are too hot and winters too cold. People experience fewer days of other seasons like Spring, autumn, and rainy seasons. That is the reason folk music is mainly based on the pleasure people feel with the changing climate. 

Rajasthani music is based on such a history of people that makes it unique. In India, folk music is performed on an open stage where artists showcase their talent and represent western culture.

Initially, when Rajasthan's folk music was performed in Europe, people found it interesting. They said that "Folk music is similar to classical form but not in all terms. 

HOW FOLK MUSIC IS PRACTICED
Everyone who stays in rural areas of Rajasthan wakes up early to complete their daily chores. Later in the day, they give time to folk music. In a family almost all individuals participate in a performance, so, they set a get-together from noon to the evening to practice for their upcoming events. 

ECONOMY FOR ARTISTS
Folk music is a soulful one that touches the hearts of people. Maybe you will not get the lyrics but surely you will mesmerize by them from the core. It is the way by which tribal people communicate with other individuals. They express their views on life struggles and their daily routine. 

WRAPPING UP
By hearing the word "Rajasthan", people create an image of dessert and camels but the golden land is not limited to this judgment. The state has tremendous artists who perform with affection for folk music concluding the royal dynasty in their songs. Their every event includes traditional decoration, delicious food items, and a welcome by saying "Khamma Ghani Sa!
