Thanks for 322 reads guys I'm thinking of doing another update but I'm not sure let me know what you think! What happens when Regulus turns up on the potters doorstep in the dead of night with a bag filled with nothing but his beloved books nearly a year after his brother Sirius had run away from home never to return again. Did James imagine how vulnerable Regulus looked when he first opened the door? Regulus would not let this destroy him, he would rebuild and maybe someday let someone love him. He was putting all his faith in his brother and the people his brother considered to be his family. Hopefully this would be his saving grace, maybe this would be his chance to start again. I made James 18 in this so he is 18 in seventh year and regulus is 17 in 6th year, all the rest of the marauders are also 18 in this I have decided that they start at Hogwarts when they are 12 instead of 11, you will understand later on in the story. Peter is also not in my story as he is a traitor that deserved a most horrible death. James Potter, concerned about his best friend-Sirius Black-not responding to his letters, writes to Regulus Black in a moment of desperation. Ever since Sirius's escaped from his family, James cannot stop wondering if Regulus is alright now that he is alone. James tries to talk to Regulus when they return to Hogwarts, hoping to become closer to him. He knows he should not approach Regulus. He knows Regulus is his best friend's younger brother. He knows Sirius would be furious. But he also knows that the curiosity of the forbidden and the allure of secrets make him feel alive. Once actions are taken, they cannot be undone. What if James was in love with Regulus as well as Lily? After Sirius left for Hogwart he left his younger brother, Regulus Black behind to deal with their parent alone. Now, Sirius has made new friends and left his family in the past. Regulus knew things were different the moment Sirius didn't come home for the holidays in his first year. Now, Regulus is at Hogwarts, although his and his Gryffindor brother's relationship is completely different. Eventually, Regulus starts getting dragged along to the Marauderers hangouts and develops feelings for his brother's best friend. Dear reader, If you've come across this little story, then I'm glad that I have at least had to chance to explain myself to one person. I'm not here to justify my actions nor am I here to tell you that I am good or even worth anything at all, but let me at least explain my side of the story. What if Regulus hadn't been sorted into Slytherin? What if the Black brothers didn't hate each other? What if they escaped? What if they were together for the end of their time? I decided that this story will go on to Harry's story instead of just stopping it at the attack of Voldermot on the Potters. I haven't decided if I'm going to do another book or just carry on in this one, but I will let you know soon

After three years Walburga is told to go back to London but Regulus doesn't want to leave and proposes Sirius comes to care for him in America. Walburga agrees and Sirius comes to America where he reunites with his old friends James, Peter, Lily, and Marlene. He also meets Regulus's new friend Remus Lupin who was a friend of James' after Sirius left.
