James Potter, concerned about his best friend-Sirius Black-not responding to his letters, writes to Regulus Black in a moment of desperation. Ever since Sirius's escaped from his family, James cannot stop wondering if Regulus is alright now that he is alone. James tries to talk to Regulus when they return to Hogwarts, hoping to become closer to him. He knows he should not approach Regulus. He knows Regulus is his best friend's younger brother. He knows Sirius would be furious. But he also knows that the curiosity of the forbidden and the allure of secrets make him feel alive. Once actions are taken, they cannot be undone. What if Regulus hadn't been sorted into Slytherin? What if the Black brothers didn't hate each other? What if they escaped? What if they were together for the end of their time? I decided that this story will go on to Harry's story instead of just stopping it at the attack of Voldermot on the Potters. I haven't decided if I'm going to do another book or just carry on in this one, but I will let you know soon
