Like how music's personality comes from the musician, so is a child's self from her parents. Having a sudden change in her life was always unwelcome, but this one especially so. Lily's mother had been absent from her life for five years. But now, she's returned, and Lily couldn't dread it more. Her vision of a perfect life has many setbacks, and the girl finds herself as a lily among thistles.
