Nina Winters is not your average high school senior. Wherever she goes bad luck seems to follow her like a rain cloud. Her classmates have nicknamed her "Jinxx" and she's convinced she's cursed. She hopes her luck will change when her family moves to Hell, Michigan for a brand-new start.
Desmond Hecat is on borrowed time. He is The Unseen, a spirit locked in an endless loop of his own death. He is the lone survivor of his kind. A hybrid whose existence was foretold by the Fates to bring peace to all supernatural kind. With the fate of his kind resting on his shoulders he knows the risk.
He warns Nina to stay away. He warns Nina to not become involved. Nina has a connection with The Unseen, one that she does not understand. Nina's curiosity gets the best of her. The moment they touch the countdown to the end begins.
