You never realise how precious life is until you lose someone special. When you’re young, you don’t think about the future, only your life now. You think you’re invincible, as if nothing could ever hurt you. Adults are always telling you to be careful but you never listen to them. They’re just paranoid and don’t want you to have any fun. But the truth is they’re right. Sometimes I look back and wish that things had been different, that I’d been smart enough to say no. Then maybe I wouldn’t be in this mess right now and my best friend wouldn’t be dead.
