Exchange student finds herself in the Borderlands, willing to do anything to survive. She meets Chishiya and forms an unlikely alliance with him, trying to keep herself as useful as possible, as otherwise she knows he will leave her behind.

What happens, however, when she develops feelings? And when he does? What can two radically different people do, in a world in which caring means nothing but a burden?
