A short story where I have portrayed pain as a lonely child who will loyally stay by your side, but will hurt you until someone sees your pain. one thing you may notice is that the only character with any kind of name is pain, and that is because i wanted to keep the characters nameless to make it easier for the reader to internalize the story and sympathize with the situations presented. you may also notice that pain is always capitalized. that is because i wanted the reader to understand that pain is something everyone feels from time to time, and pain is a universally known term, so i chose that. i hope you enjoy this story and will leave feedback for me.

As she controls her emotions they combine to create her main power, healing. The only problem S.H.E.I.L.D has yet to figure out is that as L/n heals others she has to feel small amounts of their pain, but does not cause any physical damage to herself.
