Oscar, a modest and kind man, finds his world turned upside down when the tyrant king stays at his estate for a few days. This tyrannical king is cursed with yellow and red eyes that have the citizens frightened of his demonic appearance. However, as the days unfold, Oscar discovers a different side to the king - one that is thoughtful, introspective, and burdened by his isolation from others.

Just as their connection deepens, a crisis emerges: Oscar's father faces a life-threatening predicament, and the only way to save him is through a drastic sacrifice. Faced with an impossible decision, Oscar chooses to sell himself to the king, trading his freedom for his father's life. This selfless act marks a turning point, as Oscar is now forced to live at the King's palace.

Once the unseen, forgotten son, Nicolas Matesscu now finds himself thrust into the unforgiving spotlight as the soon-to-be King of Dezna. But the weight of the crown is a mere shadow of the guilt that haunts him-the heavy burden of his family's sins and the accusations that threaten to destroy him. All eyes are now fixed on him, and he soon learns that being king is not about wielding power. It's about the survival of his people. Nicolas has inherited a throne soaked in blood and stained with insurmountable problems. An Elven army marches ever closer from the north, and the possibility of peace has long since evaporated. The kingdom's future rests on his shoulders-and he wasn't prepared for any of it. He never asked for this-he never wanted to bear the weight of a fractured kingdom. To survive, he must convince the lycan horde that he's worth sparing. In a world where weakness is a death sentence, he faces a brutal ultimatum: unite with the most unlikely allies or watch his kingdom-and everything he's ever known-be torn apart. Nicolas must rise from the shadows of his past to save his people. He must prove to his enemies and allies that he is not the broken prince they expect him to be. Survival will demand more than just political cunning. It will require strength from places he never imagined, alliances he never thought possible, and a future he never wanted but might have no choice but to accept. To unite a splintered kingdom and rise above his past mistakes, he must become the ruler no one ever believed he could be-or lose everything in the process.

"Look at me properly and try to remember." He implored her, his silvery eyes boring into hers. Maya raised her nervous eyes to meet his. Searching her head, she tried to remember where she may have met this man before. As she stared at him, a sense of familiarity began to settle. Those eyes... she'd seen them before. Where has she seen them? One by one, the images came. The pictures from a time she had forgotten. She had helped someone with eyes just like this. Still in his embrace, a daunting realisation began to set in. She'd met this man before. Long before he even dreamed of being a king... **************** A tyrant king conquers a kingdom so he can get married to her forgotten princess. People expect a marriage filled with strife and everything but none of that happens. Instead he treats her right, worships her and kisses the very ground she walks on. Why is that? People wonder. The reason is quite simple. Years ago, the same princess had saved his life from the bitter hands of death when he was betrayed by his half brother, the crown prince of Madonia. She was the type to stare herself in the mirror and see someone else stare back. Someone who was free and light, being able to spread her wings like an unbound angel. She was neither chained to Heaven nor Hell. Howbeit, no matter how far she reached into the mirror, she could never step through as her ball-and-chain presented itself in the form of a crown. She was a princess with two faces, desperately trying to have a sense of freedom outside of her royal obligations. She found it in the form of a weakness: a passion with another human being. Her love for him and ballet had kept her chin high; her crown not slipping from her pastel hair. So why, why did it suddenly become so hard when a gothic gymnastic back-flipped into her life? Why were her heartstrings being tugged on by someone of her same gender? Why was it suddenly so difficult, so strenuous to keep living in her pastel world when this mysterious girl brought such bright colours with her?
