14-year-old Wesley Adams is your normal recently-graduated eighth grader. He likes taking walks around town, hanging out with his twin Morgan, cheerleading and acrobatics, and helping anyone he sees in trouble.
His most recent neighborhood rescue turns Wesley and his family's lives upside-down with her otherworldly enemies and lack of "mortal" knowledge. Still, Wesley won't let his newfound friend, or her enemies, ruin his summer vacation.

I want to make it clear that the sibling relationships may seem unrealistic. However, my younger sibling and I actually get along! They're my favorite person! So I'm trying to emulate that energy throughout the story.
I'm posting the WIP here as I update it. Not polished, and I don't have a beta reader.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know! This may be a "side project", but I truly hope to get it published someday, so any feedback helps!

*FINISHED!* (just edits being made now) -11/23/25 I decided to unpublished every chapter except the ones that are updated, I have been working to edit at least 1 chapter every day, don't know how long that will last, but I've been doing it for 3 days now -2/25/26 Aspen has lived in the castle her entire life but that changes on her sister's 16th birthday when she meets Jay and Gabe. Gabe can be kinda annoying and Jay doesn't talk much, but for Aspen's first friends they are perfect. When Jay reveals a scheme that changes Aspen's life forever, they help her escape the castle. They are now on a mission: to stop her sister, and save the kingdom. What she is planning, not even Aspen knows. I would also like to credit my friend who helped me write this.
