After running away from his past, Ash finds himself in a new town, a new region, and most importantly, a new school. Far from his hometown, he feels a sense of relieve knowing he left his past behind and can re-do his life in the small town of Vaniville .

But after reconnecting with a part of the past he eagerly wanted to leave behind, how will he handle his emotions?

----------------------------

Story is set in an AU where regions and pokémon and such are the same but Ash never became a full time pokemon trainer. Meaning events of Ash's Kanto through Johto Journey occurred, but he never went on to pursue being a trainer any further.
(Also, vaniville is super small in-game and in the anime, but it will be portrayed larger here meaning most characters from other towns will live here, as I simply prefer the small town aesthetic over a city :p).
