Maya has had her fair share of trauma growing up, abandoned by her parents she was forced to live with Scott since her Junior year of high school. Her emotions either worked on overdrive or did nothing at all, and she couldn't control it. To make it any harder, her and her friends get some unusual side effects after dying and coming back to life. She starts to hear voices, telling her she should kill everyone around her. it doesn't really help with her werewolf curse.

When she gets a choice to lift the weight off her shoulders she has to choose which side she's on.
