Miles Hoàng's life is perfect.

He has the perfect best-friend-slash-boyfriend-slash-bane-of-his-existence, Ziri Meziani. They live in a perfect (if a little cramped) apartment above a Nepalese restaurant they get food from at a discount whenever they're both too lazy to cook. He has a perfect (meaning decent) job with a nice (meaning decent) boss and cool (meaning decent) coworkers at an Amazon warehouse - which means he has to listen to people's complaints about their deliveries being late every time he bothers to socialise as if that's something he has any control over.

And sure, his family still think being gay is a phase he'll grow out of. And he has to listen to debates about how queer marriage will irrevocably destroy British society every time he tries to watch the news. And panic attacks start pouncing on him without warning when he's supposed to be the normal one.

But otherwise, his life is perfect.

Miles has compartmentalised his mind with an efficiency his recovering-hoarder-become-neat-freak mother would be proud of. If somebody were to walk into his mind, they would find a clean house full of natural sunlight and not much else. His grandparents are in one room, his dad's coffin in another, his mother asleep in the third. Even Ziri - especially Ziri - is quarantined from the rest because sometimes there are roars in the basement no amount of music can cover up and Miles has no plan of inviting anyone down those stairs.

Until he crams the basement so full that demons start climbing out. Turns out, the walls between his compartments are paper mache.

A skeleton is all that keeps Ziri Meziani from becoming a ghost. Born to a prosaic town in East Sussex, Ziri is more than used to the company of his thoughts and daydreams, a habit nobody took issue with until 2006. Crediting it to him merely being reserved, they'd shrug and leave him to wander the uncharted terrain of his mind undisturbed. Two years later in 2008, however, everyone from his parents to his psychologist has become adamant he learn to be a normal teenager. 'It's not healthy to be alone all the time', 'you need a support system to recover', 'make some friends', etcetera. You'd think his life depended on it. The truth is, Ziri's no good at making friends. He's 'too much' -a title scalpeled to the back of his neck along with 'queer' and 'leech'- and he's got no clue on how to strip himself into something palatable for the general public. Besides, he won't focus on 'recovery' until he manages to pay his parents for his idiocy; a goal that clashes directly with his fear when his only remaining opportunity to make money is to tutor two of his classmates. It'll be fine, he thinks. Maths is hardly a segway to sharing childhood stories and past regrets. But Miles Hoàng has no interest in Ziri's plan of strict professionalism. Before he can realise what he's doing, Ziri invites him right through the fissures into his psyché, and with no warning, Miles picks up all his bones. "I think I'm gay." I say, leaving out the part about my... exposing dream about him last night. I watched his expression, waiting for some sign that he was angry. I waited for him to call me a faggot, to curse me off and tell me he never wanted to see me again. Instead, I was greeted with his perfect toothy smile. "That's great man, I'm of proud you." He says, patting my arm as he stuffed another cracker in his mouth. "It takes some real balls to come out to someone." He says, his beautiful green eyes blazing into mine. I felt myself become flustered at his gaze. "Uh, Yeah, Thanks." I stumbled out, "You're not mad?" I ask. His expression turns to hurt as he crinkles his eyebrows. "Why the hell would I be mad?" He asks, hesitating on the crackers and pushing them away. "I just thought-it's just- well... you just always seem so pissed when someone mentions the word gay." I spit out words, scared for his reaction. He sighs, "That doesn't fucking mean I hate gays. Normally when I do that it's because someone's using the word 'gay' to hate on them, it just pisses me off, you know?" He asks, bringing the crackers back into his lap and biting into them. "Plus-" He adds on, "You're my best friend, if anything, you being gay is a blessing. I'll always support you." He says, glancing at me through the side of his eyes. I look away, towards the door to hide the crimson blush that I feel spread over my face. "Thanks." I all but squeak out. And that's the day I realized, I have a faint crush on my best friend. <><><><><< THIS BOOK IS BEING *MAJORLY* EDITED. Growing up in chaos isn't simple for all. Not many could cope. They would struggle and kick, but ultimately drown. However, for Dakota, that was his normality. Torturing. Maiming. Killing. That was his life, the life of a hunter. The Arizona line was elusive, written fame in the lore of hunters, and infamy for their prey. They were the best. No one could ever compare to their skills, their abilities, their ruthlessness. But Dakota was something else. His siblings might have learnt to enjoy the hunt, well most of them anyway, but Dakota didn't. There was always something missing for him, something he was waiting on. Silent and everlasting hope. A promise had been made to him, the day his twin brother was stolen, taken by the enemy, plucked right from the very home the Arizonas had grown up in. A promise of something better, something that he might actually want in his life. Now, almost sixteen years later, something was coming. A change was begging to be found. Maybe it would be for the best. Maybe Dakota would finally find that certain something that had been missing his whole life, something to fill the dark and fractured abyss that ached and wailed within. But nothing was ever that simple. Because, of course, the promise that had been made to Dakota would never be anything plausible for him, anything tangible to have and to hold. He had been promised a new life, by the greatest enemy of them all. It wouldn't be easy. Not with his family still clinging to his heels, the teachings of blood and violence burnt into his mind. No, leaving them behind wouldn't ever be easy. Then again, staying with them would only bring his inevitable death. Why not take the chance to die happy? After all, out of the ashes, a phoenix will rise...

Jason Williams didn't think going out to dinner with his family was going to be any different than usual. Comments about his sexuality, some teasing from his brothers, and lots of paparazzi. You know, nothing strange at all. But a fight with his father made Jason storm out of the restaurant, down an alleyway, and suddenly his life isn't the usual anymore. He woke up in an unfamiliar dark room, and a handsome boy opened his door to explain. The snowy-haired genius was holding him captive until he got what he wanted. Life couldn't be worse. Warning: This book contains mental issues such as depression, schizophrenia, and others. If you're sensitive to that kind of thing, then you should probably think twice before reading this. Of course, if you want to read it and you're sensitive, I'm not stopping you. This book only touches upon the subjects; It doesn't go deep into suicide attempts and voices. Remember despite the hate these mental illnesses receive, I believe you. Mental illnesses are no joke, they're not something I try to use for views. I am not hating on the illnesses. I know it's hard, but they are relevant to the book so I had to include them. If you're feeling depressed, please talk to a counsellor. Or, if you're too scared for that, I'll happily listen and give you advice. Thank you! (I needed to include this because I didn't want people thinking I thought the mental illnesses were stupid. I don't, I promise. I love you, and I need you to keep fighting!)

Where Max somehow gets roped into one of his sister's stupid schemes and ends up in way over his head, completely out of his comfort zone, and quite sure he's just met his dream man. A man who happens to think Max is a girl. *** "An excellent recommendation. You're not just a pretty face, then?" "You think this face is pretty?" Max tried to say it with more sass, but it came out kind of soft. His face went red and he turned sharply to the books next to him. Casual. "You're very pretty," There was a gentleness to the teasing and Max glared at him. The man laughed again, dropping his eyes from Max. "Thanks." Max said after a pause and the man beamed at him. "I should be thanking you. This might be worth the read," he waved the book in his hand. Max rolled his eyes, face softening back into a smile. "I'm Kevin, by the way." "Cool," Max said and wondered if 'Kevin' was a name that fit this attractive man. "And what's your name?" Kevin prompted after a short pause and Max cleared his throat, embarrassed. "Oh, sorry. I'm Ma-," Max barely cut himself off in time. Face flushing darker, mood dropping like a fucking brick. He wasn't Max right now. "I'm Eva." ***This is a rough draft. Currently being rewritten!!*** (Disclaimer: there will be boy on boy romance and if that doesn't float your boat, gonna need you to float on by. Also a lot of swearing. Thanx ;3 )
