In the middle of a deep forest stood a village. It would have been a village like any other, had it not been for one thing. At the village outskirts stood an old abandoned stone house. No one knew who had built it -- it had been already abandoned when the oldest of the village elders had been children. But everyone knew it, since every person in the village, men and women, was expected to spend a night there alone upon turning twenty.
