Mari tugged her beanie down over her ears, fingers brushing over the cold metal pins attached. Her eyes flickered a final time across the station.
Obviously, Jim wasn't going to be hiding behind a nearby bench. She had followed all the clues and they put his location far past where she was now, almost completely down the train's lists of stops. Still, it would have been a nice save of time.
The six-fifteen whistle blared again, sending her heartrate skyrocketing. Mari broke into a jog, her first steps into the train rather anticlimactic as she scrambled to not miss it entirely.
