In Their Darkness: A Super Paper Mario Story Collection by spamfan56

Tensions are high, and all throughout the universes, everyone is feeling the effects of Count Bleck's plans to fulfill the Dark Prognostics and destroy every Universe. No one is exempt from this. Our heroes aren't, of course, as they try and stop Count Bleck's plans, but not even Bleck's minions who work against them are safe from their own thoughts during these dark times. This is a collection of these thoughts; their worries, scheming, and challenges, all presented from their own point of view in their own stories. I (obviously) do not own any characters in this story, and do not claim to. This story does not intend to present itself as canon, and although it aligns with the main story of Super Paper Mario, some smaller details might have been changed for the sake of story telling. I wrote this after realizing how much more fleshed out Mr. L could have been, so these changes have been made simply to fit my version of the narrative or flesh out the characters.

In this universe of Super Paper Mario, everything is surrounded by darkness. There is no balance, only small glimmers of light protecting those from the impending night. Ancient folklore of Flipside tells of a young woman named Timpani who disappeared from the village only to vanish for good, and the message of doom trailing fast behind her. Four monster hunters are hired to inspect one of the abandoned churches at Flopside, only to reawaken a blood-thirsty count. Why was the count sealed away in his coffin for so many years? What happens when an odd member of the count's team takes a fascination with one of the hunters? And what is with Tippi's interest in these monsters? (An SPM AU! Will have blood and gore, in case it wasn't obvious. Has some yandere at some parts. There was a magician who married a beautiful human woman. They were as happy as could be...until they discovered they could not have children. The magician set out to find a cure for the curse that had befallen them, and he encountered two mysterious figures in his search who asked what was wrong so that they may help. The magician shares his troubles, and the figures offer just the cure... A red Apple from The Overthere for a baby boy Or a white Apple from The Underwhere for a baby girl But whatever he does, the figures explain, he shouldn't feed his wife both. ..........she eats both. The wife gives birth to twins. The youngest is born a perfect baby girl! But the oldest...was born a horrific monster. The firstborn twin is hidden away and is seemingly forgotten...until one fateful day, when the daughter is ready to be wed. The monster eldest sibling demands that it must be wed before the younger sister, as is its right as the older of the twins. But who in the worlds could possibly be convinced to marry such a hideous-looking horrible excuse for a living creature?! - - - - - - - - - - Super Paper Mario and its characters do not belong to me! The original stories are a Norwegian fairy tale called "The Prince Lindworm" AND a Hungarian folk tale called "The Serpent Prince", and this is a PARODY of those!
