When he is found by a group of survivors, blooded and bruised, he is pulled into their safe community. He feels out of place though. He wants to escape but one person stops him. Kellin was pulled into a safe zone as soon as the virus started to spread. After two years, they decide that he is ready to go on his first scouting mission. It was suppose to be a regular retrieval of supplies but they find a young man that is on his way to death. Kellin wants to bring this boy back to life. But what if his heart is cloud with darkness? What if the boy is just a shell and is better off dead?
