Harper Sullivan was completely lost after walking in on her fiance and sister sleeping together. Not only did that end in major heartbreak but her job was making her feel just as horrible. For three years she had dedicated her life to designing fashion for a world-renowned fashion enthusiast. While she loved her job she was never recognized for how hard she worked therefore never getting promoted to Senior Fashion Editor. When she overhears her boss degrading her assistant regarding a high-profile client, Harper sees it as her opportunity to finally showcase her talent and prove she is worth more than just some sketches in a book.
Traveling to Los Angeles would be just the thing she needed to get away from her miserable life in New York and keeping her mind busy with fashion would help distract her from thinking about her ex and sisters wedding that was soon approaching.
Letitia is jaded, lost, and losing all hope when it comes to getting her relationship back on track. With so much misery happening around her it's hard to feel the joy in life. When she meets with an eager, talented and beautiful fashion designer who not only makes her look her best on the outside but on the inside as well she realizes maybe moving forward isn't a bad idea after all. Both women soon discover they have more in common than they could ever imagine. As time goes on and they become closer, they soon realize they've been waiting for each other all along.
