Her father never gave her fatherly love, instead he gave her material things to cover his insufficiency. Serenity seeks affection, with that she falls with Emperor Yvone Charles Montgomery back when he was still a Crown Prince. He once lent his handkerchief out of pity, she was 10 and he was 13. She was crying at the garden and it annoys Yvone but still lent his handkerchief, it was nothing for him but a piece of cloth, yet she mistakenly thought of him as the only person who gave her affection that she seeks. What if Maureen from Earth became Serenity Maureen in the Empire of Montgomery? a fictional character that she once read in a book entitled "Reina of Hember Kingdom".
