Nearly two years after the events of Hogwarts Legacy, Ominis Gaunt, a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and Talen Crayor, the hero that saved the wizarding world from the goblin warlord Ranrok, have begun their seventh year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Having supported each other emotionally since turning their mutual best friend, Sebastian Sallow, into the authorities, Talen has fallen in love with Slytherin's heir.

As Talen deals with his feelings, his life turns upside down. Not only is the (in)famous Triwizard Tournament being hosted at Hogwarts this year - a deadly competition that promises glory and fortune - but Sebastian Sallow is released from Azkaban.
